| Here is another thread to plan yet another 3d map....this map will connect with the forest...planning this one to be a very rough rocky, hill ridden 3d map that will attach to the forest map and the north end of the garrison. (the main trail will go around the mountain and eventually lead into the village) I want the main focus of the map to be the mountain itself. One other detail i need to see on this map is a Teleporter to another dimension. (thanks pinky :) ) Anyone have thoughts on this? | |

| Mountains, mountains.... First up: Caves Second: Mine shaft! (With or without tracks running out of it for carts.) Aerie (large bird's nest--Large or Huge size) Watchtower Signal Tower/Signal Fire (a la LotR:RotK) Barrow(s) Volcanic fissures (Perhaps a lava pool? It would be really unpleasant to get to an otherworldly gate in the middle of a pool of lava.) Monk Cloister(?)/Hermitage Crashed spaceship? Ruined (maybe) Temple or some such carved into the rock face like Petra(?) from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (With or without a visible means of accessing it..."How the **** did they get up there?!") River Pond/Lake I'll skip the obligatory mention of the Wizard's Tower... | |

| Caves and mine shaft definitely!! I was also fortunate enought to get some nice crystal shards when i was on vacation. (for a gem/crystal shaft at the end of the mine ) Hmmm volcanic fissures....i really like the sounds of that. Particularily with a trap door or two to plummet the heroes to a fiery death...hehehehe) | |

| Yes, but the crashed spaceship is what you really need to seal it! Barrier Peaks all the way! Now, if only WotC would revise it for 3.5 instead of giving us a sad, sad, sad "how to" guide. | |

| Expedition to the Barrier Peaks must be the strangest D+D module of all time...fantasy? Futuristic? A bit of both i think | |

| There is so many movies that inspire cool terrain. Prime example is definitely Congo. That large cavern in the end where all the grey apes are surrounding the scientists would make an awesome 3d map section.... | |

| Not to mention what could be done with Zinj or other "Lost City" types (Ankor Wat, etc.).
See? That's why I don't do terrain. I get distracted too easily. I'd never get anything done. I'd also run out of room in the house. It's a small house.

Yeah i hear you there...it is difficult to stay focused on the task at hand when terrain making. Pick one map you would love to see made 3d and make it!! It only takes a corner of the room and a few hours(or a few hundred hours...lol) to make some sweet

| Ooooh, and lots of "Small" trails for Kobolds to creep along. That red coloration would do much to help them hide against certain rocky terrain (and Georgia red clay).
