| Hi all; As spoken about with Kilsek, here is another Non-D&D post. I think I am going to become the boards designated Non-D&D hobby poster. Every now and then I will surprise you all and poist something at least remotely 'fantasy' aligned, but this won't be one of those times. I hope you all enjoy, and you never know, maybe something you see in my posts can be used as part of some scenery or something (especially if related to that Steam-Punk wanna be EberrCrap). Anyway, on with the pics... When do you use a Hacksaw to cut through Plasticard? When it is 3x sheets of 0.60" thick glued to each other. A knife just won't do the job in this case. Getting the basics started. On goes the first half of the first door. Both halves of door #1 are now on. I am making my drop pod so that the doors actually open and close (and more importantly, STAY SHUT). Here is my friends Dreadnaught (inside the drop pod) to give a sense of scale. Door #1 closed. C&C most welcome. DF | |

| More pics. The begininings of the exterior detail. Vent's added to the gaps in the roof. The original plans were made for using 3mm thick foamcard. This error in judgement was realised all to late, hence the need to block up the now useless gaping holes. Hehe. Good old cardboard tubing. This is going to be used to house my ingenious door-staying-shut idea. Door #3 going on. See the Door-Stay-Shut idea yet? Yes, Rare Earth Magnets. I will eventually cap this cylinder with a base. I will also add extra piping to help conceal the 'door magnet pipes'. C&C welcome as always. DF | |

| And again with the pics. (My builds get lots of pics taken at each major step - sorry). Step by step pics of how I did the hinges for each door. All doors closed. 1 door open. all doors open. That damn Dreadnaught is back again! C&C welcome as always. DF | |

| yet more pics. It's nearly over, I promise. Yes, the doors are wide enough so that even a Dreadnaught can easily be moved through them, even by someone with sausage fingers like me. Underneath the pod I will place this. Inside it will be 5 'thrusters'. Internal walls. These will be detailed a bit more and painted seperately from the pod itself, then gued into place as a final step. More external details done. I think I might be just about complete with the outside of this thing. Another 1 door open pic. (What the hell is wrong with me?). C&C blah blah blah DF | |

| What, more pics? I would never have guessed... I promise, this is it. The next lot (in about 24hrs time) will be painted and completed pics. Oh wow... all 3 doors open... again!... Get a grip DF?! My pride and joy. A fully movable Rockit launcher, basically fully scratch built. Look! It rotates left and right (full 360 degrees actually!) And it goes up and down! And most importantly - it is removable (for when it assuredly get's blown off) C&C - (yeah you know by now).... DF | |

| *whimper*
Man, how are you not working for GW? That stuff is just insane (in the good way).
Have you thought about putting in a "second floor" of sorts? You could put Terminators/equipment on the lower level and let the Marines camp out on the second floor...But either way it looks great as is. I can't wait to see this painted. | |
