| Thanks, Vista's snipping tool . Those are all covered in the Teaser vids over on Wizards.com/dnd if you wanted to see the full ones. I like these covers a lot, personally. | |

| The Red needs to wipe its nose...Are all the Chromatics in need of Rhinoplasty?
And why do the books look so "square"? Are they being resized to be more in line with computer game manuals now?

| I bet you they're all going to have horns except the blue, who will have the red's old nose. | |

| Haven't you heard? The blue won't have the reds old nose at all... it is getting the same treatment as the Beholder-Catfish...

| Looks much better than the statue. The statue sucks. And they've all but said this isn't the true beholder, but a variant. | |

| It looks better, but chances are a mini would still strongly resemble the statue.
The statue looks absurd...and I'm not even that bothered by a change in Beholder standards (Dragon standards are another issue).

| Changing the look of dragons after they put so much into establishing a unique look for all of them is just ridiculous and seems to be a ploy to get people to rebuy the new minis.....No thanks.. | |

| Why do I have the feeling that the Ebberoring theme is written all over this.
The beholder looks like a beholder construct.

| I think they said it was supposed to be a Flame-something beholder. All of its eye rays.....shoot......fire...... Haha. Maybe half-red dragon in the most painful union known to monsters since the roc went at the pixie. Yowza. But anyways, yeah, it looks a bit off, but I'm sure they'll have some kind of interesting explanation for the scale-looking things on it. | |

| I kind of like the simplicity. The current logo looked goofy to me, and took some time to grow on me. | |

who cares if they are classic? its still kinda stupid. just like breeding a lion-frog or something like that. if lion frogs were suddenly classic you would like them. i still wouldnt cuz they are lion frogs.

| I'd totally be down for some Lionfrog action. Owlbears really are great. The thought of the two breeding seems like a car wreck. Do you think you'd be able to look away from that? | |

| Lionfrog? Liog?
I know you were kidding, but the thought of a maned frog with claws doesn't sound horrible.
This really doesn't have anything to do with 4.0, I just had to say that it's not really a bad idea.

| Yeah, I'm pretty over them trying to make the books look like...different kinds of books.... If they're going to go that route, why not make it look even more so and put the title of the book down the spine, and take off the back cover blurb? I think the 3.x books looked terrible (barring things they didn't try to do that on, but even those were a bit plain. So really, I guess just the FR sourcebook. | |
