Map Quality wtf??

Subject: Map Quality wtf?? Thu Jul 19, 2007 11:12 am

I noticed as i pulled out my Frostfell Rifts maps that they are a low grade of thin paper...how are maps supposed to be used many times over and still be expected to look half decent....wft??

I believe they expect us to shell out some serious extra cash and laminate them. I've seen people do this, but just too cost prohibitive for me.

I have to agree. Maybe that is why the sales have gone way down. The paper used is lighter than notebook paper

well, it's only about $3 a map if you go to a learning center or whatever they're called. I need to laminate mine (spilled water=another $15 map pack. AUGH!!!)

I wish we had somewhere to laminate the maps for $3....the cheapest i have heard of is $7

Well, $7 isn't too bad compared to some of the horror-stories I've seen of folks on other boards.

Sure, you're almost doubling the price of the product, but you're also ensuring that those maps will last a lifetime or more. I know some folks buy a backup (and I'm prone to that myself) for just that reason...except that yours will probably outlast two sets of maps.

Yeah..i should definitely look into it further. At least the new crappy paper ones...
