Night Below Empty
PostSubject: Night Below   Night Below EmptyFri Jul 13, 2007 7:11 pm

WEll we got our sets done and I have to say looking at the whole collection in from of me, I have to say this sets paint jobs suck except for a couple. Wulfgar's face is sad looking.

Far to many bent weapons and bases.

Thanks for another bad set WOTC.

Sad when I would rank HB higher

I had noticed that the plastic seemed to be quite a bit more pliable than in previous sets. I don't know what's causing it, but I'm certainly not liking it.

I understand the desire for realism, but one thing about other miniatures (such as GW) is that reality was ignored when it came to certain things (such as the thickness of a glaive or a weapon). I could really live with that if it created more stability for the mini.

I love the set, but I hate the new plastic. Spooty Europeans and their standards...phhhtttt!! I fart in your general direction!!

I'v gotten more bent pieces and warped bases in the last 2 sets than in the first 11 combined.

The first case and a half (or so) was actually pretty good for me, and then I started getting "the bends".

There's got to be an acceptable plastic that won't flop around like a rabbit's ear. In addition to the change in materials, packing costs are up because of the extra cardboard needed to keep minis from folding in half!

Night Below Empty
PostSubject: Re: Night Below   Night Below EmptySat Aug 04, 2007 2:26 pm

I just finished up my set last night (once my orders ship in!) and I have to say, I'm freaking excited. Looking at the pieces, it was great. Well worth it. I did check out the pliability of the set though, and I must say, a lot of the pieces were pretty solid. Worst set ever as far as pliability goes: GoL. My nightwalker's base is like chewed up gum. If i curve it, it stays curved. This set had its bad points (hierophant's face was frightening :) <--There it is now!) but I think overall, it was a great set. Even the dire tiger made me take a step back and admire it. Courser was great. I need more of those suckers! Mind Flayer Lich was beautiful. Though, I have a thing for Illithids. And liches. Seems like the perfect piece for me Very Happy
