This is just my campaign for the realms and this is to help me keep track of things. Read if you like as its there for that, nevermind the spelling and grammer as it was just quickly done. Enjoy Razz

The Adventures of Borric Darkmoore
PART 1
Borric Darkmoore came from the region of Tethyr as he had a rough childhood as the town that he was raised in (unknown must be on Wraithbornes map) was brought to ruins from many battles against the goblinoids and orcs of the area. He was taught in skills of ranger and rogue by his uncle (unknown@this time) through the many bonding days with his replacement father. He trained him in simple pick pocketing, opening locks and two handed weapon training with rapiers.
Borric disappeared for sometime and then returned to the small town of Mosstone in Tethyr. There he heard stories of goblins coming into the town and hording food and other items for themselves. The Borric went to the tavern/inn called the Oak Fathers Boon where he met a lady by the name of Jannis Weltnow who was in tears as her husband was kidnapped and taken with a few others from the goblins late in the night. Borric felt for the women and cause of his past anger towards the pests he took the assignment to hunt down the goblins and get her husband back.
Through many tales and gossip he started to head south towards Starpire Mountains to hunt down the pests. Along his travels he came across a couple of dwarves that were having an argument. The band of dwarves were attacked by a swarm of spiders and a small group of goblins. In the battle the goblins won and have taken a few of their colleagues. One brother named Liff Golkern wanted to do honor and track down the goblins and rescue his captured brothers while the other brother Lukus wanted to head back to the clan hall and report the incident. Borric took agreement with Liff and told him that was his mission anyways so they sent the weaker brother and the rest of the dwarves to get help as Liff (grabbed his axe) and himself tracked down the goblins.
Along their journey through the range they battled swarms of spiders, chokers and even panthers. Finally with Borrics tracking skills they found a small hidden cave not far south in the mountains. This leads to many battles against stirges, earth elementals and even more goblins and spiders. The party finds the victims as they are trapped in webbing from a monsterous large spider known as the Hive Queen she was controlling the goblins to do her bidding including a goblin shaman by the name of Tlukkah. Liff and Borric used their skills and rescued the surviving prisoners and defeated the goblins and their spider counterparts. The question was why were the goblins under the control of the spiders?

PART II

Borrics and Liff rescued the prisoners and transport them back to the dwarven hall in the Starspire Mountains as its closer then back to Mosstone. They venture to Liff’s dwarven clan hall called The Hall of Starflame. They meet the old king who thanks Borric for his duty in rescuing his men and the others. And they exchange tales and the issue of the spiders and goblins. The high priest of Moradin of the clan Doobin Smokehammer tells the king that a kobold has been found just outside the hall causing a commotion. Borric and Liff investigate it and find that a kobold by the name Akara is in panic that his people are being tortured and his treated by lizard people in the dwarven copper mines in the eastern south.
King Starflame asks Liff to investigate the issue as he knows that kobolds were used there as slaves so that could mean his people are in trouble too. Liff asks Borric if he would join him and he agrees. They head off the very next day and take the kobold with them as a guide. On the way through the mountain they come across more goblins, spiders, werewolves and even a sighting of a massive red dragon. They finally arrive at the old copper mine and enter it to investigate.
Inside they battle many kobolds as they learn they are not part of Akara’s people but the dwarves are. They have been captures and tortured by troglodytes. Through many battles through the caverns against a battle of hordse of kobolds in which Akara falls to his death after trying to defend himself with a mace. Liff and Borric move on as they see more dwarven bodies as they move deeper. Finally the find out that the leader is a male drow and worshiper of Lolth named Da’treeal Achria that controls the trogs and the kobolds. After defeating the male cleric of the demon queen they find a rough map of the Mosstone area and that the town is the next target and it comes from the Wealdath Forest.
Borric tells Liff that he wants to head back to Mosstone and warn the people of the attacks.

PART III

Borric and Liff head back towards Mosstone, Liff decides that he will tell his king what they found in the copper mine and that he will met Borric at the town. They part ways.
The ranger does make it back to town where he goes to the people to ask them if the attacks have ended and they have. But Borric fears for the town for the bigger raid from the forest. During his travels and gossip searching he hears about a bigger temple to Ilmater being built (plus he needed some healing and supplies). He meets with the high priest Jewis Clangon which she helps with the healing for a donation. She tells about the troubles and accidents that they have witness during the structure of the temple and that the workers think it’s a curse from the witch that lives in the forest. She has just sent a lower cleric of Ilmater named Jozane Pelor (Razz) to investigate the witch but she is sure its nothing. Borric states that he is going that way anyways to stop the drow before they attack the town and he will check out the witch issue on his way.
Borric uses his tracking skills to hunt down where the cleric Jozane went. During his tracking he comes across Jozane in mid battle against an ankheg, so Borric helps. They introduce themselves and Jozane explains that he is just going to visit the witch to make the workers feel more secure over the accidents so that they can finally get the temple done. They head north in the forest where the come across a female half-elf druid from the Emerald Enclave named Liora Leaffalling who is on an adventure of her own trying to figure out why the red claw mark of the Cult of Malar are all over the near by forest. Borric is enchanted by her beauty (not sure why) but he agrees that he will look into it as he is already on the hunt for the goblins and drow. He talks Jozane into helping him and not going to the witch but better yet do something more in the name of Ilmater and help investigate the Cult of Malar. Liora thanks them and heads off into the forest and tells them she will meet them again in the future. So they now follow the mark of Malar on the trees and head to the east. On their way they come across a small clearing where they see goblins that are on watch and a few buildings. Borric decides to go after the goblins as he does he gets the cleric to light the main hut on fire from the camp fire. Jozane lights the building on fire that cause a bunch of orcs to come racing out of the hut. They find themselves in an all out battle against goblins, orcs, gnolls and a leader half-orc. They capture the half-orc in which Borric questions but he admits nothing and that he does not worshiper Malar but the Lord of the Ghouls. Borric gets fed up and slits his throat. They loot the place and leave the building to burn down. But Borric finds some tracks just outside the clearing that lead deeper east in the forest to a deep hidden cave that has the red claw mark.
They enter they cavern where they battle gnolls and goblins until they come across not a alter to Malar but one to a huge gnoll with a 3 headed morning star, Yeenoghu. After the cleared out the cavern and defeating a small goblin mage and a cleric of Yeenoghu Borric and Jozane head out feeling good. As soon as they leave the cavern they get ambushed by a larger group of gnolls, orcs, goblins and gnoll ranger and a high cleric of Yeenoghu. They had been waiting since they arrived as the burning building gave them away. The male human cleric Atwan who expresses his concern as the party has fowled up their raid/plains and that their partner is not going to be happy. They attack and an all out battle erupts. They party wins but Borric had to change the gnoll ranger through the woods to catch him and defeat him. On the cleric they find a note that the last group of raiders are way north in the forest near the wood elves of the forest and that its signed by a drow by the name Destra Darkweb.

PART IV

The party ventures to the north to see the wood elves about the drow issue as the last outpost is located on the map at an old elven ruin. On the way through the forest the party goes against more ankhegs, dire wolves and a werebear follower of Malar. On their journey they are met by a white owl that changes to the druid Liora Leaffalling. She thanks the party for helping defeat the cult that was laired in the forest. She gives them a parting gift of a symbol made of mistletoe of the Emerald Enclave to show their friendship.
Later on the party comes across being tracked by a group of wood elves. A brunette wood elf lady by the name Drusinia Sunshot is head of the party. She asks what the group is doing so north in the forest. Borric explains that the reason is because they want to talk to the wood elves and find out where this last hideout (elven ruin) is located as it suppose to house drow, one called Destra Darkweb. Borric uses his charm and flirtations to the wood elf and it works. Drusinia shows concern and explains that she can show them to the elven village but must follow her rules and allow her to do all the talking. They agree!
They journey deeper north to the Village of the Wood Elves of the Wealdath. They come to a clearing where all the houses are located within the trees. There is a massive palace located in the center and temple to the elven god Corellon Larethian off to the left. Drusinia walks them through as the elven people watch and stare and whisper shocked words to eachother. The guards of the area also keep a watchful eye which makes Borric and Jozane very uncomfortable. She brings them to the palace in which she secrectly talks to the guards to explain for the reason of the humans to be brought within their village. The party is brought to the throne of the elven king who is very upset over the intrusion of the humans. He introduces himself as King Sunshot (which Borric goes in shock realizing that the lady is the daughter). He is very upset at his daughter and made the remark of calling her like her late mother. King Sunshot listens to the partys story in which he doesn’t seem very interested. Borric even shows that they are friends of the Emerald Enclave (using the mistletoe item) but the king still is not impressed. The king explains that he doesn’t trust humans as due to the past findings of the wood elves of the Wealdath. But if the party needs to go to the elven ruins located in the short east then so be it. He states that the ruin itself is about a past history that the king would rather not be reminded of. The king also states that his daughter will be punished and grounded as for leading the party here.
The party heads off in the morning to the east.

PART V

After the party arrives to the elven ruin after meeting a small fey creature called a thorn that was guarding the out entrance the party is surprised to find two wood elf guards dead (poisoned) outside the entrance. The thorn points to the entrance and the party heads deep into the ruins.
As soon as the party goes into the crypt they come across a bunch of goblins battling some duergars. The gray dwarves actually get sight of Borric and the battle begins. The evil dwarves try to enlarge and turn invisible but they do not stand a chance against Borrics quick rapiers. Not long after in his fit of rage and hatred Borric goes chancing the goblins in which he bring there leaders out of their hiding hole and makes short work of them also. Including some trouble trying to battle goblins and swarms of spiders at the same time but the ranger makes due with little help from Jozane.
The party then works their way down deeper in the tunnels where they battle drow guards which Borric sneaks in silently and starts hiding in the shadows and taking one out at a time. They come across a room full of spider eggs in which the party smashes them to bits which alarms some strange looking spiders with the symbols of Lolth. Jozane and Borric both work together and destroy the spiders and make lots of noise doing it which make a draegloth take notice of them. The creature corners them in a room and uses its evil powers to make the party ill but Borric still battles the half fiend to its death.
After traveling further into the crypt that has been desecrated by the drow, they battle way more drow guards and a broken portal of Lolth that goes to the Abyss. The ranger is so excited that they could be finally stopping the drow and goblin issues that he pushes farther to find the leader. Finally he comes across a large amount of drow and a female cleric of Lolth. Destra is upset over all the issues that the party has caused in their plans that she casts many spells against the party one that actually blinds Borric. But with the help of Jozane and Borrics good luck they defeat the priestess. (he must worship Tymora somewhere hahahaha).
They rest as they believe the crypt is now clear of enemies. The next day his sight comes back and Jozane has prayed to Ilmater and healed his massive wounds they venture the crypt incase there are still some more dark elves. During their travels they come across a large blue door that has eleven ruins along it. Borric uses his known skill of elven to read the script and it describes that it’s a tomb to the Queen Peregrine Sunshot. The ranger tries to use some of his late rogue skills to see if the door is trapped but he lets loose a fire trap but his cloak of elements takes most of the blow. Just at that moment a large grinding some is heard down the hall and a statue of Lolth comes towards them. They make short work of the statue and smash it to bits. Now Borric really wants to go down past the elven door to see what’s down there.

PART VI

The party moves past the blue elven door and head down some very dark stairs. Jozane uses a light spell so the party can see, as Borric takes the lead. They venture into a large crypt with pillars everywhere and they were greeted with a large skeletal minotaur. The creature gave them a hard time but Jozane made short work of it by turning undead and the rangers quick moves.
Not far from there they heard a large creature moaning and come across a ogre zombie. The party attacks it right away and just when Jozane was to turn undead again to banished the evil thing he gets hit very hard by another undead creature from behind. Borric hears this and see’s Jozane getting beaten down by a bloated bloodhulk so he make quick work of the zombie and attacks the other undead thing. The bloodhulk beats with its fists hard against Borric almost to point of making him blackout but finally the beast falls. The ranger checks the priest to see if he is still alive and he is so he drags his body back to the upper level as he heards more undead slowly coming forward.
Upstairs after closing the door shut, he takes a potion of healing and feeds it to Jozane who in time opens his eyes and praises his thanks. They rest for a bit and get a little bit more prepared before they head back down into the crypt of undead. The party races back down the stairs and come upon some ghouls and Jozane yells out in the name of Ilmater that the undead be banished and they do. They search the area and come across a couple tombs in which Borric decides to help himself through it which disgusts Jozane.
They come across an old wooden door that bares the name Queen Peregrine which the ranger still feels that he must see whats on the other side. So they walk through the door and come across a massive grave of skeletons that come alive (or as alive as undead can be). Jozane uses his holy powers and Borric uses his quick rapier skills and they drive the undead back to their grave. At the end of the tunnel they come across a tomb in which a mist appears. The mist moves to form an elven lady who looks sad, that sends a chill down the partys spine. The ghost asks if the party has been sent from the king to finally banish her, in a fit of rage the ghost attacks the party. Once again with Jozane’s holy turn undead and Borrics ranger skills the party sends the queen back to her grave. After the battle Jozane wants to leave and get back to Mosstone but Borric instead raids the grave of the queen and takes a few items one including a purple wand. Then they finally leave the ruin tomb, which they want to head back to Mosstone

PART VII
The party decides to leave the ruin and leave for Mosstone as Jozane wants to get back to the temple and Borric wants to relax. On their way through the forest they come across another werebear from the Cult of Malar and another anhkeg. Then Borric feels that someone is watching them, he demands who and Druisina appears. She looks excited and upset and she explains to the party that her father is on a man hunt for them as relics are missing from her mother’s tomb. Borric explains that they destroyed the nasty beasts in the crypt and that they have taken the goods. She breaks out in tears as it her mother that he just called a beast and that she just wanted to warn them. Borric feels a little bad and thanks her for the info, she leaves.
Borric feels its best to head back to the elves and explain everything but Jozane just wants to get back to the temple so they go their separate ways. So the ranger heads back from where he came from in which he battles a dire wolf and a couple more anhkegs. Finally he decides he will wait till the wood elves capture him. A few days go by and he gets edgy so he heads north again.
About a day later he comes across a few thorns that seem to want to take him under arrest, he explains that he will follow but not be tied up as a prisoner (as he wanted to go the wood elves anyways). Not long after that the thorns bring him to some wood elves that thank the thorns for their good work and then take Borric to the elven village. During that time a mage with long raven hair and blue eyes appears in Borric’s thoughts stating that he needs him for an assignment and where the ranger is located. Borric tells the mage through thought and the mage explains he will contact him more later in time.
A few days later they come to the village in which Borric is tied up with assassin vine for his hands and brought before the king. King Sunshot is very upset and explains what he wants back and demands it. Borric gives the wand back and explains the good deed of defeating the drow. The king takes note of it but he wants to compare stories with the priest to see if the stories match so Borric will have to stay in a prison cell for the night and promise to give some of his loot to the temple of Corellon Larethian. Borric agrees!
During the night Borric gets another sending through his mind from the mage. The mage explains that he Orbis from Mosstone and he needs someone to help him retrieve an artifact from the city of Zazesspur a magic wand of red that he needs as he is a collector of the things occult. Orbis also promises that he can get Borric to Zazesspur if he agrees to the assignment. Borric agrees that he would take the assignment, the mage tells him that he will know when the time is right.
The next day Borric is brought in front of the king and he sees Jozane there. (he was taken on his way to Mosstone)The kings small trial is over and they are free to go but not friends of the elves as they will not forget Borric’s loose fingers. They are both untied and right at that moment a magical portal appears in the palace room as the wards have been breached. On the other side of the portal Borric see’s high city walls he bids some sarcastic thanks and jumps through the portal. Before the wood elves could fire he was gone through and Jozane didn’t want to die so he jumped through right after.
The two members appear before the high walls of the city of Zazesspur and Jozane is not impressed as he feels that he had no choice and Borrics choices are bring him into the bad side of the law because he knows the wood elves are probably more upset as they never paid the temple there. And now they stand in front of the walls of Zazesspur.

PART VIII

So the party appears at the gates of Zazesspur, where they face the high ways and the rush of merchants and travelers through the gates. They see guards at the front questioning everyone in the city. Jozane is upset but figures he will stay with Borric till the heat dies down. They go through the gates no problem even though Borric uses a fake name Arthur, which upsets Jozan more. The ranger explains to the priest the reason behind coming to the city to find a wand of red that the mage Orbis lost.
So they kill some time through the city watching silks, rugs and carpets of fine design being sold and traded. Borric decides he needs a drink and a warm bath as Jozane wants to go to the temple of the House of Falling Tears to send money and word to Mosstone of his where abouts. Borric goes to the tavern of The Hanging Garden where he gets a drink and talks to some older ladies and get word that an inn can be found near the dock port. So he finishes his drink and heads that way leaving word with the waitress.
Borric heads to the inn called the Winsome Repose where he books a few nights and a bath and tells the owner that he has a friend that will need the same. Not long after a few ale, Jozane shows up and pays his fees and they both relax as they wait for word from Orbis. The night grows longer so they head across the chain towers to the dock section to another wild tavern called The Breaching Whale. They cross the bridge dock and head to the tavern that is a bit wild and loud from the sailors and merchants that call this tavern home. They sit join the crowd within the tavern and listen to the gossip and nothing is out of the ordinary, except they catch the eye of Orbis. The mage ignores them but winks to get attention, he leaves the bar. Borric decides to drink more and ignore the mage until nothing happens except some halfling tries to pick pocket him. Borric catches him and teaches him a few lessons in how he just give up the career. The party leaves the tavern and looks for the mage. They find the mage looking out upon the Sulduskoon River from the over pass, as he stares out thinking. Borric heads towards him and stares forward….Orbis decides to explain the assignment.
Orbis explains how he paid for a red wand that holds some interest to his collection. An bandit murder by the name of Korras Fenn raided a cavern that was bring the paid artifact from the south to Orbis. Now he wants the wand back and the man died or alive. The last time Korras was seen was jumping the wall known as “the Stink” where the city dumps it garbage to the river because he was running from the law over the murder of 4 young children. Borris and Jozane take interest and head in that direction and are granted 2000gp each for the return of the wand including all that they find in the trash area. The party heads towards the stink.

Borric's Comments/Thoughts:

shoulda killed that gnome.... grrrr. Orbis is prolly evil but he's payin' good, will kill him if he plays me false. Off to "stink" to find Korras Fenn dude. They say he's a bad ass but I've been here in Zaz for a whole day and haven't drawn a rapier yet!!! Hopefully I get to meet up w/ him.

PART IIX

So the party heads towards The Stink to find the wand of red from the murder Korras Fenn. They head east towards the chain towers and find the wall that is covered in moss and debris from the trash being dumped over the wall. Just at that moment Borric could hear panting and someone running towards the wall on the other side. A small male gnome with a white beard comes climbing up over the wall. He is covered in dirt and juices from the garbage. As he hits the ground with the help of Borric, Jozane asks if the guy is ok. He states he is fine and was just taking the last load of garbage over the wall when he was chased down by undead. He explains that he works for the city to take care of the trash problem and that he’s name is Popollo.
Just at that moment the party can hear the undead starting to climb the walls. Borric grabs his holy symbol of Ilmater and Borric waits with his blades for the undead to climb over. The undead hits the ground and the smell of the creatures makes Borric and Popollo sick as they start to puke along the ground. Borric goes in with his blades and slahes the first ghast in half as the second tries to climb over the wall. It gets hold of Borric but his cape covers enough that it does paralyze him and he defeats the second one also.
After Jozan and gnome get their senses back, the ranger decides he wants to find this murder and get the mission over with. Popollo explains that the city wants him to clear the trash issue up but he isn’t an adventure nor skilled in fighting. Borric explains that they are going in there anyways to hunt down a man. But he wants the gnome as a guide for them. Popollo feels he has no choice as he is elderly and needs the money to feed his family. All he could offer the group is 4 potions of remove disease which Jozane and Borric take.
The three of them head over the wall and find that the place is filled with trash, garbage, old metal and boards. The sky is filled with seagulls and piles are loaded with insects and rats. They follow the path long through the ruined shore and gets to a cavern opening that use to be a thieves guild and hideout. Popollo decides he will stay along the back with his club and hold the torch so the party can see.
The head into the ruined area and battle a few otyughs on their way in, in which Borric gets bite by one and contracts a strange fever so he needs to cure himself with one of the potions and rests. They walk a bit deeper later in the day and find a large pit that has a massive green/yellow acid type ooze bubbling inside it. It blocks the way so the party besides to find another way around. Even after Popollo thought of using some of the boards to cross it but Borric didn’t want to take the chance.
On the other way around they fight yet another otyugh and make their way to a small tunnel way where the roof looks like it about to cave in as there only loose metal rods holding it up. As the party slowly walk through the tunnel the ground of the trash falls beneath the cleric and he falls down a shoot and lands in what sounds like water. Popollo holds the torch as Borric uses his rope and throws it doen for Jozane to climb back up. As the cleric is climbing up he lets out a yell and the rope goes slack and they hear a splash. Borric panics and ties the rope off and tells the gnome to wait up top as he jumps down the shaft.
Borric lands in the water and find Jozane bleeding and battling around a group of sahuagins. They are armed with tridents and crossbows and ambushing the cleric.

PART IX

Jozane has taken many crossbow shots from the sahuagins and his bleeding bad. Borric jumps into water and starts to clear house with his rapiers. Jozane uses a light spell so that they can see what is happening, as Borric continues to slay the sea-devils.
After the long battle and one escapes through the water they here a sound from above and notice the torch go out from above and the rope falls down into the water. Borric figures that the gnome took off or was killed they move out of the water and towards the dry tunnel of the cavern.
They head down a bit when they come across a couple busted and water warped coffins before they can inspect them they both hear moans and eyes shining in the tunnel ahead. They both run down into the tunnel and battle the ghouls that came from the east. Borric tells Jozane not worry about help from Ilmater he can slice through them just hold the light spell. During that Jozane gets inpatient and moves in for the attack but get bite by one of the ghouls. Borric defeats the rest of the ghouls and figures they best rest as Jozane heals himself from the wounds and the disease of ghoul fever.
A short time later they head more east down the tunnel where they come across a warmer 3 way section there is slick black ooze rolling down the floor from an upper slope cavern down to the bottom. Borric shoots an arrow through it but nothing happens. So the ranger tries to walk across the black ooze, he looses his balance and he falls and the ooze carries down the tunnel into a pool. Jozane maintains his balance and asks he is alright down there.
Borric can feel that he landed in a somewhat type ooze pool and can feel movement around him so he asks for some help. In the dark Borric starts to get slammed by a couple of ooze elementals but his cloak of resistance covers most of the acid burns from the hits. Jozan jumps down with his torch but also gets slammed and he looses his torch in the pool. In total darkness the ranger tries to elementals but has no luck till Jozane casts daylight so that they can see. Jozane gets pretty hurt and burnt up from the acid of the attacks but the ranger slowly slices his way through them.
The ranger decides to have a look around where he comes across a false wall in the east of the room. He pushes it and the walls crumbles where a gold statue of the goddess of Sune was found. He hands the statue to Jozane and he gives his thanks as it can be used as a gift to the temple of Sune someday.

PARTX

The party keeps moving through the tunnel where they come across a large pool of bubbling ooze as they come closer to it as they have to cross it to reach the other side a gray ooze within the pool attacks Jozane. The party battles against the ooze in which finally the party destroys it and it disappears within the mud pool. The party continues forward where they come across a broken down statue of the goddess Mielikki so Borric praises to the statue. The move further along the cavern and come across another room with 3 pools of mud and ooze. As the party moves closer they get attacked by 2 more ooze paraelementals. The acid nearly burns the cleric Jozane to death and it even destroys his mace as Borric battles them to save the priests life. After a long battle between mostly the ranger and the elementals he finally defeats them but needs to rest. They come across an old rusty gate in which both members had to use their strength to brake through and find two old moldy crates. While expecting the crates a band of sahugains attack the party with crossbows. Borric goes into full attack and destroys the seadevils.
After casting his alarm spell along the area so they can rest, Borric wakes up as his spell has been broken. He wakes the cleric up as he grabs a torch as an ocher jelly moved into the area. Borric attacks the jelly as Jozane falls back. With the movement of the ranger’s blades the jelly divides into two so they now have two enemies.
Jozaine helps the battle by casting bless on Borric as he battles the two oozes finally he destroys them both. Once again the party needs to rest so they can heal and pray for spells. Just when Borric was starting to rest again he hears strange squealing sounds along the mud pool in the other room.
Jozane uses his torch and comes across a large group of dire rats running through the mud pool towards them. Borric shoots his bow into them and kills a few of them as Jozane casts sonic sound and destroys three of them with his sonic burst. The ranger then runs in and cuts the rats down as they are slowed down by the mud. Not long after the party decides they must move in to get some rest in the Stink.
As they move further in the come across a large room with a deep pool of dirty water and ooze. They must cross it to get the other side! Borric is prepared now for more ooze and jellies to come attacking him so he goes into caution as the cleric carries the torch.
Half way through the pool Jozane catches a bunch of eyes flashing at him within the water. He cautions the ranger and they try to rush across. Borric gets across but Jozane doesn’t before a gibbering mouther appears and attacks him. They both ignore the madness coming from it mouth as Borric shoots many arrows into the beast. But just when Jozane was about to crawl to safety the monster swallows the cleric. Borric can hear’s the acid and the cleric crying for help so he keep shooting many arrows into the monster.
With the help of Borric Jozane cuts his way through the gibbering mouther after the ranger shot enough arrows into it. Jozane is burnt and bite up bad but they move on. From all the battle the ranger feels a burning upon his lips from the water of the pool. He ignores it and moves into the next room for safety.
Luckly they just come across another room with a pool on the north end with four floating bodies in it. The room resembles a torture chamber of some type, they check the bodies but they are too diseased to inspect. They are both worn out and need to rest to carry on.

PART XI

After a long rest the part moves more forward where they come across a large band of more sahuagins, they defeat them rapidly and move into another larger group of them. Borric uses he’s massive weapon skills and Jozane uses some of his spells to help boost the ranger’s morale and blades. In which two of the sea-devil flee and go to get more assistants. Not long after the party meets the 2 escapees and a human with a bald head and rough goatee with a blood stained club. Borric attacks the human first and slices him open with one swing and then not long after they attack the rest of the evil group.
After the long battle and lots of finding of dead diseased bodies the party hears faint chanting in the darkness of the cavern.
With the torch Jozane see’s a robed sea-devil chanting to his dark god of the sea. Borric runs the evil creature through before he finishes his spell and then hears two more voices chanting in the distance. Borric and Jozane both go into the cavern with weapons drawn. The cleric gets hit by a faint fatigue spell but Borric has no problem clearing the evil clerics of fish folk out. Not far down the cavern they come across a large pit with about three human voices begging for mercy and help but they are well guarded by two sahuagin barbarians with spears. They give the party a tough time trying to push them into the pits but the party once again runs them down and ventures further as Borric hears moaning. Jozane wants to help the people in the pit as them seem diseased as they plead but the ranger feels they can help them more later on after they find the cause of the trouble in The Stink.
In no time the party are attacked by a large mob of zombies that seem to be human and people of Zazesspur. Jozane prays loud to the god of Ilmater and turns undead and all the zombies turn to dust. In the distance once again Borric hears chanting.
The party runs into the chamber full force as they feel they have the upper hand after defeating the undead quickly, they come across a female sahuagin cleric of the great shark. She is dressed in a long robe and wears a black silk glove and a red wand in her hand. She tries to finish her spell now that her undead were defeated but Borric jams his rapiers into her. She looses control and zaps the ranger with the wand he becomes ill as the blackish red smoke hits his body. But not long after he gets his wits with the help of the spells Jozane cast upon him for strength and will. She falls to the ground and Borric retrieves the wand for Orbis. As soon as he touches the wand he gets a sick feeling and flashbacks of his past and childhood of the goblin and orc raids that destroyed his village. Borric drops the wands and decides it’s unsafe and they should use a cloth to transport the artifact.
Not long after Orbis uses his scrying and pries upon Borric if they have succeeded in getting the wand from the killer. Borric agrees yes and that they ran into a horde of sea-devils not just a child killer for the wand. Orbis is happy and promises the money if they can meet him at the Chain Towers again within the city. The ranger states that they will meet in a few days with the wand. Just not a long time later after they search the bodies of the dead creatures and take weapons and potions from them a large gateway opens within the air and the smell of brimstone hits them. A bearded devil appears and claims that they need to hand over the wand. The party disagrees and they attack the fiend. Before they have a chance the bearded devil summons seven lemurs into the chamber and they all go to battle. Borric defeats the fiend and the other evil summons all disappear in the final words that “Orcus will not be please”. Why would a devil mention the name of a demon prince?

PART XII

The party heads back out of The Stink along with the two saved prisoners. The head back up through the point where the cavern hole was located where Jozane first fell through. After many attempts Borric makes it across the chasm and with the use of the rope they get everyone across and leave the rope behind.
As they almost make it out of the sewage ruin both prisoners complain about an itchiness in which they both came down with a red rash. Jozane uses his last two potions of remove disease on them as they finally head out.
Once back over the wall and back in Zazesspur, the prisoners state their thanks and head home. Borric is the mood for drink and food as they have been in there for days. But first they want to get the red wand looked at by the temple of Ilmater (House of Tears) before they hand it over to Orbis.
They head over to the House of Tears where they are greeted inside by the paladin Father Akkar Donatos (gray bearded paladin of Ilmater). They give a great donation to the church and ask about the wand to be examined. The father agrees and uses holy divine prayer to look at the wand and silk glove. Through his discovery he finds the glove to be nothing out of the ordinary but the wand holds great evil.
Father Akkar Donatos explains that the red wand is an evil artifact of lesser power from the Abyss and that it holds traits of the demon prince Grazt’zt. Borric explains that Orcus was the name that mentioned from the fiend they fought earlier. The father explains that Orcus is an enemy of the Dark Prince and that he might want to wand so that it doesn’t end up back in his the owner’s hands. He also explains a bit about the demon prince and that they should keep their eyes open for a symbol of the 6 fingers. He mentions that the wand must be taken away from the church maybe even the city. While the party is there they give more gold to the church and get items identified and buy a few healing potions. They give their thanks and take their leave as Borric is hungry and thirsty.
They head back to the inn called the Winsome Response as they meet Jasper again and get a few rooms and a bath. As they wait on the room they get a few drinks and ask for a young boy to go fetch some supplies such as torches, arrows, sunrods and some rope. An hour so passes and the supply boy comes back with the gear and then Orbis makes contact with Borric. Borric explains that they are at the inn and that he should join them. Orbis joins up in about 15min and they exchange stories in private as the mage explains about being attacked by babau demons that broke through his wards. Orbis requests that they teleport back to his tower in Mosstone to discuss it more and do the transaction.

PART 13

They appear at Orbis’s tower with Mosstone and do the transaction of the red wand for the 2000 gp. Orbis explains that it’s a lesser artifact of evil power and that he first heard about it from a journal found in the desk that they now sit at. He bought the desk at a auction and the desk once belonged to a deceased mage known as Zarlag. In the desk he found a small old journal that contains some info about the wand and how it and another artifact are connected.
Orbis goes on to explain that a long time ago a pit fiend called Drokarrn was captured by some demons during one of the many Blood War feuds. Grazt’zt heard that the pit fiend was one of Bels higher champions so he captured the fiend and skinned him alive. With this he created a skinned cloak known as the Fiends Embrace.
Because Graz’zt had many lovers one that he cherished was a human from the south in which he gave the cloak to her as a gift. In the love he also transformed her into a succubus. Their love carried on but she was not so loyal and she had many lovers with the realms. She gave the cloak to one of her lovers and the cloak was lost. Grazt’zt heard this and damned her for the rest of her fiendish life. Now Grazt’zt wants the Fiends Embrace back in his hands along with the wand.
The last mark in the journal is that the mage Zarlag was heading to Spiders Swamp in Calimshan to get the cloak, and a comment that with “2 becomes 1”.
The party agrees to get the Fiends Embrace for Orbis as he believes that they are very powerful together and that if they fall in the fiends hands the realms could be trouble. Or that if the 2 artifacts do become one it will be easier to destroy. Borric names his price that he wants something arcane or enchanted for retrieving the cloak back and that they will leave the next day. Orbis is happy with that and agrees that he can teleport them south as he has been in the local area before in his past.
After getting gear and stuff for the trip and a goodnights sleep within Mosstone the party gets ready to head to the Spider Swamp. Orbis hands Borric the journal and wishes them luck and a teleport gemstone with a command word just incase they get in trouble. Not long after the party arrives at the swamp.
The Spider Swamp is mucky, hot, moist and sticky. They travel through the mud to the north as per the journal to a place known as the Cold Keep. On their journey there they come across a small wooden hut. The hut has some smoke coming out of the chimney and seems to be boarded up. They don’t get to close as they fear what’s within the bog. Borric hears what seems to be an off and on hum coming from the building but during that Jozane hears what seems to be frogs deeper in the swamp. Borric with his keen sight gets a closer look and the party gets attacked by a small group of giant frogs. With Jozane’s crossbow and Borric’s range skills and rapiers they defeat the frogs before getting swallowed whole. What lies within the hut…?

Part 14

The party comes across a strange bridge as they leave the smoking hut alone. With the bridge that really doesn’t cross anything Jozane feels uneasy about it. They too also walk around it as it creaks on its own. After a while the ranger comes across a small path of weird tracks that look like little hole marks but can’t figure them out. Not long after hear a few voices in the bog, human voice that seems to be having a discussion on the bridge that just passed. Borric takes a closer look and sees 2 males with robes that have maces upon them. Both party members come out of hiding and welcome the two men. The men explain that they traveling through the marsh to help put a unwelcome stop the evil of the bridge in the south. Jozane agrees with them and see’s the maces and asks what church or party the tow young men belong to. As they approach closer both the ranger and the cleric see that one of the members has a small limp. Once the party gets closer they explain that they are from the north east of the swamp and are worshipers of the goddess Zanassu, in which Jozan gives the ranger a secret heads up. Jozan knows the name and its not a goddess but a name of great spider demon, so they attack the two men in the name of Ilmater. After a quick battle as the men don’t even get a swing underneath the cloaks is the body of a spider which explains the limp. Jozane explains to Borric that they are a strange race known as the aranea and that they should be cautious of all people here.
Not long after while traveling through the swamp they come across a strange tree that stands out from the rest of the swamp. Borric decides to get a closer look and try to communicate with the tree but as he gets closer he sees a small ancient hut located right in it. They use sticks to throw up to the door to get the attention of the owners as they can hear someone inside and don’t want to use the rope ladder till they know more. Not long after a young lady with brown hair comes to the door to greet them. She gives them a warm welcome and asks if they want to come in out of the mud as it’s starting to get dark. They come within the hut and watch her carefully. They exchange stories back and forth with some lies and the party learns that her name is Slurrozh and she was exiled her from the west because she was a worshiper of the goddess Mystra but she did something to loose her grace. She came to the swamp to get away from everyone and ask for the goddess for forgiveness through time as her won punishment. She invites them to spend the night before they move off and they learn that another party was there the few days before and that she is a potion maker. Borric buys a ton of potions from her the next day and the head more north deeper in the swamp looking for the Old Cold Keep.
The next day the party heads more north where they get ambushed by a large party of bullywugs. The frogmen get a few jambs in but the ranger has no problem finishing them off even the one that tried to flee ended with an arrow in his back. A few hours later the party comes across an old stone keep. The keep is large with two towers and a gatehouse in the middle but the entrance is sinking deep within the swamp. Jozane and Borric decide to climb the wall in the back and come across the old ruin. They find all kinds of old moss covered and destroyed furniture and such but nothing of interest. They walk along to the court yard where Jozane decides to pray to Ilmater for guidance for the Fiends Embrace. During this as soon as he gets the answer to go deeper, Borric hears noises and two scrags appear from along the waterline and rumble. After terrifying battle that almost cost the rangers life as the last scrag grabbed him with both claws and nearly tore him in two. They burn the bodies with a torch and cut them up. Borric is in pretty poor shape from the battle.

PART 15

Borric was in rough shape since the last battle so Jozane prays to Ilmater and tries to heal him the best he can but during the last prayer they get attacked by a pack of wolf skeletons. Borric jumps in and bashes a few with his swords as Jozane turns undead and the wolves flee. In which point the ranger wants to checkout the well. He ties a ripe off along the top and then climbs down the well with the reflection of a sunrod to see. He hits the bottom in water about 100 feet down. He goes underwater quickly to see what he can see. He notices a guard tower in the water with an entrance so he goes to get Jozane as they head out.
They both swim underwater to the guard tower where they come into a room full of moss, molds and vines. Jozane searches the room as Borric checks out another set of stairs. In the water he notices that there is another lair that was behind the well the other way. He swims back to let Jozane know. Just when Borric comes up from the water he sees that the cleric is in mid battle with a massive vine horror. The ranger dives into the battle and helps the cleric out and defeats the evil plant. Borric describes what he saw and that they should swim back to the top of the well. When the do the pack of wolf skeletons are back and attack them yet again. This time the ranger and cleric decide to put them out of their evil misery.
After that battle they decide to swim back under to the other court yard underneath. Once they get up to a dark area again. They decide to check the ruin out. They come across and old camp area where the smoke still smolders and there are 6 bedrolls laying on the ground. Borric knows that the party must still be here and it must the ones that came to the cleric of Mystra before them. So Borric goes quietly to check it out, he comes across a light from a torch and listens. He hears many voices male and female and they mention that they must back track as they the cloak can not be in this direction. The ranger runs back to tell Jozane and they move silently back into an another ruin corner with some brass tube located along the wall.
Borric still keeping an eye out comes across what looks like a female cleric, a male in a black robe with a bat floating over head, a half orc with a axe, a gray cloaked gnome and a male fighter of some type. They all seem to be wearing a symbol, with a white skull. The ranger runs back to tell Jozane about it and he describes the symbol. The cleric from the description is pretty sure they are followers of the evil god Cyric. So they work out a plan that they will try to team up with them and that they are from the East on a mission from the city to clear out the swamp for trade reasons and that Jozane hides his holy symbol and his mace and uses a magical short sword and plays the role of a fighter. (he has no problem with this as it will be for the better of good in the end).
They listen and wait for the party to appear but they never do as Borric sees them working magic with song (the gnome) to open a hidden door in the far ruin wall as stairs roll down stairs. They party waits it out and follows them from behind without being noticed and lets them open the next door and passages. Finally the evil party works on a harder door as the mage casts knock to get through and then they hear a massive battle and a roar to the god Cyric. Borric races to the door to watch as he sees the evil followers battling a massive troll.

PART 16

The party stands back as the scrag slaughters the party one by one. The mage of the evil group even turns invisible and flees. The fighter the only one left tries to flee but the troll claws him in the back stopping in his tracks. Borric and Jozane join into the battle at the end and put the scrags down to its misery. The cleric of Cyric is still breathing but Jozane wants to leave her be and go after the mage and the fighter.
They race not long after and hear that the mage is bailing on the fighters agreement to get the Fiends Embrace and that they creatures are just to powerful and not worth the money. They both race to the next room which is filled with water, as Borric follows behind hiding in the shadows. To the rangers amazement they walk into a room with another scrag and the beast grabs hold of fighter and rips him apart. He hears the mage flee through the water splashing.
Borric grabs the mage as he flees and calls him a coward and that they need his help and will pay twice the price for assistance. Mage doesn’t agree until Borric rips out his hair and breaks the spell. At this time the scrag is coming their way so Jozane cries in the name of Ilmater and raises his mace and runs into the room.
The three of them battle it out and defeat the scrags even after the troll killed the mages familiar bat. They feel the water moving and can feel a rumble underneath the ground of the room.
Out from under the water and the floor an umber hulk rises and claws Jozane and knocks him down. Borric races in and the mage starts casting. Before the umber hulk can use it confussion ability Borric goes into a massive fit and slice the beast down to nothing. Both Jozane and evil mage are impressed. Then deep in the tunnel from the room in the north they see red eyes in the dark and misty breath. The creature in a creeky, dry voice in rough common states “Who is within my domain? Leave if you know what good is for you”.
Borric tries to be tough and states that they are here to defeat the evil within the ruin. The creature replies that he is the evil and that they must leave. The ranger then casts cats grace and the creature see’s this and the party hears a faint sound of something in the air like it waving in the wind. All of a sudden a portal opens in the room and giant vrock appears. The demon is caught off guard as the ranger jumps in and starts his work with his blades. The vrock lets out a huge screech which knocks the cleric down on his knees in pain. The red eyed creature in the back tunnels giggles and moves deeper into the tunnel.
Borric and Jozane have a tough time trying to defeat the fiend as his powerful claws are ripping through all their moves. After a massive bloody battle Borric does down the fiend driving it back to the Abyss. All member the party are badly bleeding and need help what will be their next move as the evil creature is not far deep in the tunnel.

PART 17

Borric drinks a potion of cure critical wounds and Jozane uses a spell also to mend their wounds as they hear the large fiend come down the tunnel again. The red eyes glare and in a rash voice it screams you killed my pet vrock and charges! The beast is a fiendish troll and he is wearing a flaming red cloak and he charges the mage of Cyric first. Borric turns invisible with another potion and heals some more as the troll tears the mage to pieces. The priest dives into the battle and hit the beast a few times with his mace as Borric jumps in from behind. The troll turns on Jozane as the mage is a mangled mess of meat in the water. Borric uses his mighty rapiers and cuts down the beast just before it was about to open another portal and summon in some dretchs. The troll screams that they have not seen the last of him as he hit the water and the red dies in it eyes.
Borric throws a sunrod at it to burn the beast up and then they start healing up their wounds with potions and spells of Ilmater. About a few minutes pass and the troll rises again in surprised and hit Borric with its massive claws. The ranger figured the beast should be dead but it must be the cloak of the pit fiend skin that protects it. Jozane and Borric defeat the fiendish troll one more time and this time remove the cloak from its body and burnt it again this time the beast streams and yells and slowly turns to ash in the water.
The two party members looted the bodies of the dead party of Cyric and find not really anything they need except a magical dagger which Borric keeps. So they decide it time to go to Orbis and get their reward and pay the dues. They use the teleporting stone and call Orbis’s name. In the change over to Mosstone they didn’t appear in the tower and Jozane feels a tad sick to his stomach. They look at Mosstone and it doesn’t seem the same there are people crying in tear as the tower before them pulses in red stones like a heartbeat.
Borric uses his robe to open the door as it gives off heat and looks inside. As soon as they enter the tower is not the same it’s like a teleport portal to another keep. There are screams of women, children and men in the background and flowing lava flows along the walls. There is a black stone keep located right in the middle of the madness.
The party runs to the black keep trying to find Orbis or what has happened. During that they get spotted by a party of barghests. The goblinoid wolves yell at the party to stop but they keep fleeing. Borric throws down the Fiends Embrace and uses the doorway into the keep as great spot to flank the beasts. The barghests race into the keep and the party starts to hack them. They have a little surprise with the dimension door trick but the party ends up defeating the beasts.
Borric leaves the cloak there and decides to have a look around. They find a few junk rooms and one with a burnt up scroll on the wall but they can’t read it. Finally they come across a room with a large chain like mechanical humanoid shape chain thing in the middle of the room. Borric goes to hack it incase its evil but just when Jozane sees it move it too late the chains reach out and hook into Borric. It has a wicked female voice and speaks in a language they don’t understand but Jozane knows its unholy. The hooks and chains dig deep into the priest that he needs to almost heal again but finally Borric cuts through all the metal and it collapses and red mist shoots out of the body.
The party hears more chains in the next room so Borric asks the priest for some help and casts bull strength upon him as he races into the room. Three unholy chain devils are in the room and they attack on site of the ranger. Jozane gets his wills together and goes in to help. The chain devils nearly finish the poor cleric with their powerful hooks even after casting protection from evil upon himself. After a long battle Borric destroys the last devil with a fit of anger and strength that he has never witness before of himself. The party now sits in the black stone keep listening to the wailing of tortured souls.

Hahahaha yup. It was a sad day yesterday as Borric and the faithful (can not hit anything priest) Jozane fell to the massive fists of a large earth elemental. :)

PART 18
The party travels through the Hellspike Keep and battle more barghests, vargoullies through the hot dark dungeon area. They come across a barbed devil that is feeding slaves and captured people of Mosstone to a lava pool. This pool is surrounding a tall spiked tower of fiendish faces called the Hellspike. The massive structure glows everytime he throws a person in the pool. The barbed devil see’s the party and becomes more enraged as the souls are helping him open a larger portal to the planes of Hell. Jozane calls forth a Hound Archon to help them the three characters attack the devil as he summons lemures to block them off. Through powerful might and power the party destroys the devils and rescues half the slaves and demand that they head down the tunnel to safety. Jozane and Borric head farther in the tunnels and get ambushed by a erinyes but they make short work of her. Finally they find a portal that opens to a another plane one made of mushrooms and mist. They travel through.
When the party travels through they come upon a ambush of a large tribe of derros and the use spears and poisonous arrows to take them down. Borric makes short work of the evil dwarves but when 2 large earth elementals come storming through the cavern. The end was near for our two heroes. They both fought hard but were smashed in the ground by the earths massive fists. There was the last battle of our heroes.
