For this Wednesday (surprise!*) preview, we feature two creatures: one attacks from the shadows and the other is a dragon not seen as a large since the Deathknell set.

Rakshasa Assassin

The Rakshasa Assassin is one of eleven creatures in Demonweb that has sneak attack for the miniatures battle game. While his basic damage output therefore seems a bit low, with good positioning with allies, he will be able to attack two targets for 25 damage each.

The Rakshasa's level has been brought down a bit for the miniatures battle game. We wanted a good mid-range beater that could be in a warband with the Rakshasa Baron found in Dungeons of Dread. His roleplaying stats match what can be found in the Monster Manual; he's a level 17 skirmisher.

Stormrage Blue Dragon

Our second previewed dragon is the Stormrage Blue Dragon, an adult blue dragon. As the dragon with the artillery role, the blue dragon has a powerful at-will area attack that can pepper the battle map with lightning-filled bursts of death. We copy this ability in the miniatures game, which should give most warbands a reason to pause.

That's it for this week. Enjoy! And if you haven't yet seen the fact sheet and site list for the Demonweb pre-release events, be sure to check them, too.

* Look for D&D Miniatures articles on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from now on.
