I have seen the following band posted a few times and wanted to bring it here for discussion:

LGD = 140
Merchant guard x 7 = 56
Farmer =3

jungle temple

And many people facing this band forget that you are attacking the ac of the merchant guard and not the LGD. When the opponent wants to use the Bodyguard ability

Haven't played it myself, but I hear it takes some expertise to win consistently WITH that band. The Merchant Guards, I'd imagine, are good for grabbing the VP's from LGD's Champion Power - even more if can send them out in pairs. LGD should be able to take care of himself, meanwhile. Then again, if bodyguarded through some a couple of the hardest punches from the opposition, LGD will remain to do terrible things to the opposing band. Animated Statues seem to be a valid option for MG's.

If played well, LGD+MG's band is tough to beat on it's own map. Some area blasts, lines or cones will help a lot. I'll have to either try that band or ask someone to face me with it to learn more.
